Dear Santa, the ladies of North Oaks Guild 1, made a Christmas wish. We wanted to drive total contributions to Children’s Hospital Association to over $1 Million dollars in 2017 from Guild 1.
As we started the 2017 calendar year, we knew we had to achieve more than we have ever done. We had to contribute thousands of dollars in 2017 to meet the financial goals we’ve established for ourselves. In addition, the amount needed to hit this milestone had to surpass any earnings we’ve achieved on a yearly basis, since we started the North Oaks Home Tour program 55 years ago.
Thank you, Santa. You came through on our letter to you.
You Did Not Let Us Down. Santa, his many elves, our designers and vendors as well as the many communities in Minnesota and Wisconsin, were all a part of the success.
We are honored to have reached the $1 Million mark. With help from the surrounding community, our many exceptional designers, vendors and attendees, we will surpass total contributions of $1,001,824.11 to Children’s Hospital Association for 2017.
North Oaks Guild 1 started the Holiday Home Tour back in 1962 with a small team of talented workers who live in and around the North Oaks area. Today, we number slightly more than 20 members. Each person contributes their unique skills and many hours of volunteer time to make this program successful.
It takes a team to create a success such as this. No one wins alone. We could never have achieved this success without the North Oaks Golf Club, and our Homeowners. The Golf Club contributes the club for this event every year at no cost to Guild 1. Our homeowners have selflessly contributed their homes to this event. We can’t thank them enough.
Happy Holidays to everyone who attended this year’s event, our homeowners, designers, vendors and suppliers and the communities. We could never have achieved this for Children’s Hospital Association without the help of the total community.
If you are interested in showcasing your home for 2018 – we are looking for beautiful homes for another spectacular year.
Our Thanks to our 2017 Designers:
Home for the Holidays - 2017 Home Tour Designers
We greatly appreciate the participation of these businesses in the 2017 Home Tour. These designers volunteer their time, talent and expertise, as well as display their beautiful merchandise to decorate the homes on the tour with special holiday items and accessories. For your holiday decorating, shopping and entertaining needs, be sure to plan a visit to their stores and also visit their websites. If you see something you like on the tour, you can find it in their stores! Please support them – they give so much to others.
